Trustees

Eileen Kealy

ELECTED TRUSTEE

Eileen has been a member of the Short Hills Ski Club since 2010.   Eileen grew up skiing through the local Wayne, NJ afterschool ski programs in middle school and high school.   After getting away from the sport, she wanted to revisit the sport as she loves the outdoors and the beautiful scenery that Vermont has to offer.   While working in the Union, NJ area, she discovered the club through the organization’s website.  One of her favorite things about the club is all the friends she has met and the fun over the years that has extended well beyond the winter season.   Eileen is responsible for the club’s social media page and is Trip Captain Chair.   Eileen currently resides in the Bedminster, NJ.

Sue Stimpson

ELECTED TRUSTEE

Sue has been a member of the Short Hills Ski Club for the past 23 years. She and her husband are avid skiers, outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy travel. Sue is currently serving on the SHSC Board as an elected Trustee.

Chuck started skiing at 14, fresh off a beach from Rota, Spain, and hasn’t looked back! Chuck feels that skiing is the most rewarding and exhilarating feeling of freedom and beauty a person can have. Simply said, it’s awesome! His greatest pleasure is being able to pass the skiing tradition on to his darling daughters, Victoria & Alexandra. Try it, “you’ll love it!”

Larry Goldberg

Tom Boehm

TRUSTEE

Tom has been a member of the club since 2017. He loves skiing and was looking to ski more often and to meet others who share a similar love of the sport. The club was a perfect match with wonderful people, a beautiful lodge, a great cook, and affordable rates. In a short time the club now feels like family to Tom. He is currently serving as Trustee and webmaster. Tom’s other passions include his family, golf, bike riding, travel, running, hiking and kayaking.

Marie Arnold

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE TRUSTEE

Marie has been a member of the SHSC for at least 15 years, and she visited the lodge often with her husband, fellow member and current Chairman of the Board, David Kapner, before joining. Her earliest memories of the lodge involve family weekends with her two children, and she enjoys relaxing in front of the fireplace after a day on the slopes. This is her second stint on the Membership Committee. In addition to skiing, Marie loves hiking, reading, and spending time with her family, friends and two dogs. She is a high school English teacher in Scotch Plains.

Committee Chairpeople

Monica Hahn

HOSPITALITY CHAIR
Since joining SHSC in 2011, Monica has served as Party Chairperson, Lift Ticket Chairperson and Appointed Trustee and Secretary. She currently serves as the Hospitality Committee Chair.  Although the initial draw to the SHSC was its fabulous lodge in Vermont, an unexpected bonus was the friendships that Monica and her husband have formed with others who share their love of the outdoors. They can often be found hiking, biking, kayaking, and, of course, skiing, with their equally adventurous SHSC friends, and they are most grateful to the club for bringing them all together.

Ann Rice

DOOR CHAIR
Ann and her husband Shaun have been members of the Short Hills Ski Club for close to 30 years. She has served on the membership committee, was elected to the board as a 2-year trustee, served as chairman of the board and lodge treasurer, and currently serves on the hospitality committee acting as “door chair.” Ann loves traveling and the outdoors. She enjoys visiting museums, biking on rail trails, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, yoga and, of course, skiing.
