The areas surrounding the SHSC lodge has a number of outstanding restaurants. Maple Soul in Rochester is a favorite of many of our members and is one of the closest to the lodge. Cafe Provence in Brandon is also superb and a nice place to eat on your way to the lodge. The Center Street Bar (located below Cafe Provence) is also very good. Mad Taco in Waitsfield is one of the most popular spots for our members, and one of the best for takeout. American Flatbread at Lareau Farm in Waitsfield is a not-to-be missed spot for outstanding flatbread pizzas. It gets very crowded, particularly on the weekends. You need to stop in after 4 PM to reserve a table for the eventing. They don’t take reservations online or by phone. Killington has numerous restaurant options with Casey’s Caboose and The Lookout Tavern being two of the most popular with our members.
